Preface

The moment you first had a caring thought for the environment or felt love for one of nature's creatures you were a deva

That moment can become a way of life in which you enjoy nuturing supportive relationships with your land, home, plants and animals

You can protect your crops and increase your yields by listening and talking to your plants, insects, animals, and devic friends

Your care for the natural world and the elemental kingdom will help it adapt and flourish in new ways

Lets have fun as devas!

Introduction

What is a Deva?

A deva is a guardian, caretaker, and representative of the elementals, plants, animals living in the area it governs. This area can be a building such as your home, a locality such as a forest, or even a country.

Like a parent a deva takes care of its family and sees that each member of that family has the love, food, and support it needs.

Being a deva extends your family to include even more loving relationships with birds, and animals, as well as your human loved ones.

Both parents and devas look after their own other needs and interests in life while caring for others. Both are of great service to the world, casual, part or full-time.

Section One: Understanding a Deva

Ask an angel, guardian, or spiritual Master you trust to give you an experience of yourself as being more than just your physical body; an experience of the worlds beyond this one. Perhaps in a quiet contemplation in your garden or in your dreams tonight.

The supra-physical is also known as the etheric body. Astral as the emotional, feeling body. Causal as the Akashic, Memory body (storing memories up to the astral level only). Mental as the Mind and divided into: subconscious, thought, and intuition. Soul is the beginning level of pure love, without the conflicts and opposites of the lower worlds. It is here the complete records of a Soul's lives and journeys are found.

We are all Soul and we each take on as many of the bodies as we need to cover, protect, and allow us to operate at the levels as far down as we come.

Section Two: Being Physically Alive

Understanding the planes and other worlds above is about to give you a chance to have a more productive garden, to live in a home with energy (Chi, Ki, Qi, Feng Shui), to drink healthy water, and to eat foods with higher vibrations. All this will reward you, sustain you, and enable you to give more of yourself to the worlds.

As plants, animals, worms, insects, even rocks have thoughts and feelings they respond to yours. How they respond will depend on their level of awareness. You may not expect a rock to be fully conscious of all that you are because it probably hasn't got to that level yet, but it does have a fundamental consciousness. I've met many a rock that at least knows where it wants to be, so I do ask them whether they are happy to come out of the ground or to go into the ground; if they are happy to be part of a garden edge, a wall, a step, a foundation, a seat. If not I leave them be. There is always a way of respecting every rock, even if one just has to be moved!

The supra-physical realm in which fairies, some devas and others live and work is between the physical and the beginnings of the emotional (astral) plane. They may also have physical bodies, but do not need them to help plants and animals at the supra-physical and higher levels.

... Another way to purify water is to add a little living water to it. Harmonisation is a living process that spreads through water returning it to health.

Section Three: Being a Deva

Being a deva is something a human can do and it is important that those who feel it is part of their journey as Soul to do so, do.

Many humans are becoming more and more disconnected from the environment as they choose the material world. Being a human deva is a choice to be part of a sustainable world.

Every plant, every object, every being, has an energy field. The more alive the object the greater the energy field.

There are four elements and each has their elemental caretakers that we can communicate with. These are the souls that enliven each of the elements with their spirit, with Soul. Each elemental has its job, its mission, its purpose, and its own personality. Their personalities and abilities, and those of their kind, are changing as we are.

As Soul we have both the male and female within us, and we learn to balance both in discovering ourselves as the one whole. We learn this by being male and female in different lives, and exploring the relationship, one with the other - yin and yang.

If you choose to hold All Beings as sacred you will be invited into their space whenever it is right for both of you. There is no need to require it to happen.

To be a deva is to observe in joyful interaction the interesting around us. The heart tells what is important. Experience and a growing spiritual wisdom tell us the meaning.

The Waitaha measured the purity of water by the organisms living in it and made stories that became 'myths' that told how to safely travel and live on the land. See Part 5: Resources: Obervations and Oral Traditions for more of this.

Working with nature you will find that you are not apart from nature. Your beingness, your behaviour, your creations and those of every being in nature are a part of that nature. Everyone contributes to the research, understanding, and nature of the world, the universe, and all creation.

Take 5 minutes to sit or lie in a quiet space where you will not be disturbed by people, animals, or loud noises. Ask your heart for its daily news. What does it want you to know right now? Sit with it, write it down and come back in a week to review what you wrote.

Light-hearted joy comes from doing Spiritual Exercises ... Sing HU for 20 minutes or so quietly to self, or if in a quiet, private space out loud. Sing it with love in your heart. It is a love song to God. Sing it and love whatever you are able to.

Building the energy of your home starts with thinking and imagining you are doing so and doing what feels right. You might look after plants in the garden, move furniture around, place plants, pictures, crystals, or cob ovens (pictured) in key places.

Section Four: Deva Network

Now that you've been going to the Deva University for some time you may have noticed your confidence increasing and that you have more awareness of how you can help the natural kingdom. You may have even have a sense of having made contact with other human devas and those that would like to be one.

The key is to trust the nudge to mention something then to give the other person an opening to talk by asking them a question like "Do you talk to animals?" Their response tells you whether it is safe to proceed.

Questions gently asked can feel very safe to another person because once asked they only need answer with as much as they are comfortable with.

There is a network of human embodied devas throughout this planet. Each one speaks of its own situation. When that situation holds learning for you that deva may speak to you.

Time and again we passed up our chances to look after each other; to love at a new level, to embrace each other and all beings on the planet as part of one single family, interconnected and interdependent on each other. If change is to happen it is individuals that will make it happen. Those ancient traditions that tell us their calendars all end at this time are telling us that this is the time for us to do something so that happens.

Great cycles of time have brought all creation to a point where a quantum jump in consciousness could happen. It is an end because we don't know what will begin until we begin to make it happen.

Section Five: Resources

As a deva look about you, constantly observe, feel, and know with all your senses, and regard them as authentic, accurate ways to evaluate your environment. They make a story! Any other being we communicate with loves a story that captures the imagination, and tells a truth that helps them keep alive and healthy.

The Waitaha were active students of human nature and their environment. They learned many things through observation that are not easily seen through theorems and formulas.

The mokupuna (children) were they eyes of the nation. Then as now they run about observing much with their enthusiasm for learning and reported back to the less mobile elders. The grandparents would hear the children, place it in the context of what the people knew, decide what needed to be done, and weave it into a stories to be remembered by those children specialising in each oral tradition.

We entered the Iron Age about the end of the 17th day of February in 3102 BC about the same date as the start of the Mayan Calendar's sixth cycle.

If we listen to our wise Mayan elders, and those of many other cultures, we can expect a shift of the poles to happen, probably by 2015... Though we cannot understand how it could happen, in case it does, it may be wise to respect elders who say that when a shift occurs the sky goes totally black, and the sun, stars, and moon cannot be seen for 3 days. So that we need not put ourselves in danger of panic, if it does.

Those who shift their focus as Soul to view other realms and realities will also find much extra information and inner guidance for themselves

We have 12 strands of DNA not just four, that our chakras have increased from seven to twelve, and that these are activated as we increase in consciousness.

"This boy ... had 24 [genetic] codons turned on - 4 more than any other known human being, and that meant that ... they started testing his blood with other things like cancer and discovered that this kid was immune to everything! Then they found another kid with these codons turned on - then another one then another one - then 10,000, then 100,000, then a million of them and at this point, UCLA, by watching world-wide DNA testing, estimates that 1% of the world has this new DNA . . . approximately 60 million people" Drunvalo Melkizedek.
